کراچی میں حالیہ واقعات کی اطلاع ملنے کے بعد ، 3 مارچ ، 2020 کو ’ذاتی حفاظتی آلات کے استعمال‘ کے لئے کورونا وائرس سے متعلق ایک سیشن کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس اجلاس میں تنظیم کے تمام داخلی ملازمین شریک ہوئے۔ اس سیشن کے اسپیکر، مشہور پیتھالوجسٹ، ڈاکٹر اشرف میمن، ایم بی بی ایس، ایم سی پی پی، (پیتھا لوجی)، ایم ایس سی متعدی امراض (یو او ایل، یوکے) اور اے آئی ٹی آر پی، فیلو ایس آئی ٹی / ایچ آئی وی (یو اے بی، امریکہ) تھے۔ اسپیکر نے اس بیماری کی ابتداء اور پھیلاؤ اور اس وائرل بیماری کی روک تھام کے لئے پی پی ای کے استعمال کی اہمیت کے بارے میں ایک مختصر تعارف اور جائزہ پیش کیا۔ ہاتھ دھونے کے طریقوں کے عملی مظاہرے سے اس کی تکمیل کی گئی اور ایک اور عملی مظاہرہ بھی ہوا جس کے تحت دستانوں کے استعمال کی تکنیک اور روزانہ مریضوں کی دیکھ بھال کے معمولات میں ماسک کا مناسب استعمال نافذ کیا۔ ایک پری اور پوسٹ لیکچر کی تشخیص کے سوال نامہ بھی گردش کیا گیا تھا اور جس کے جوابات کے نتائج میں سخت فرق پایا گیا تھا۔ سیشن کے ساتھ ساتھ عملی طریقہ کار معاون اور نتیجہ خیز ثابت ہوا۔
Corona Virus – We Care
After the recent cases reported in Karachi, a session on Coronavirus was organized for ‘The use of Personal Protective Equipment’ on 3rd of March, 2020. All the internal employees of the organization attended the session. The speaker for the session was Dr. Ashraf Memon, a very renowned pathologist, MBBS, M.C.P.S, (Pathology), MSC Infectious Diseases (UOL, UK) and AITRP-Fellow SIT/HIV (UAB, USA). The speaker gave a brief introduction and overview on the origin and spread of the disease and the importance of use of PPE for the prevention of this viral disease. This was supplemented by a practical demonstration of hand washing practices also another practical demonstration was held which enforced the gloving techniques and the appropriate use of masks in daily patient care routine. A pre and a post lecture assessment questionnaire was circulated and the drastic difference in the results were found in the responses. The demonstration along with the session was very interactive and very result driven.
