Karachi: A highly informative seminar was held by Dr. Ashraf Memon, Consultant Pathologist and ID Specialist, at UMH.
The seminar focused on the IPCC (Infection Prevention and Control Committee) and its job description, as well as the concept of risk management using the WHO model.
Dr. Memon, known for his expertise in infectious diseases, led the session, engaging the clinical staff with detailed insights into the roles and responsibilities of the IPCC within healthcare settings.
He also shed light on effective risk management strategies, highlighting the application of the WHO model in minimizing risks associated with infection control.
The seminar was attended by the clinical staff of UMH, who gained valuable knowledge on improving patient safety and enhancing infection prevention practices within the institution.

The Department of the Month award was proudly presented to the Pediatrics/NICU Department, honoring their tireless efforts and commitment to excellence in patient care.

Karachi: In a proactive step towards enhancing emergency preparedness, a Code Black Drill was conducted at Usman Memorial Hospital.
The drill was led by the Head of Medical Services, Dr. Junaid Ghaniand aimed to ensure the hospital’s readiness to handle critical situations effectively.
Comprehensive drill included simulations of potential emergency scenarios, enabling the medical staff to practice coordinated responses, assess resource management, and identify areas for improvement in crisis situations.
The initiative reflects Usman Memorial Hospital’s commitment to patient safety and excellence in healthcare service delivery.
